This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the testmyabilities.com website, for what purposes and for how long, and what rights you have. Data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. The controller
TourCierge s. r. o., Karpatské námestie 10A, 831 06 Bratislava – Rača, Slovakia · Company ID (IČO): 57383898 · Registration: Obchodný register Mestského súdu Bratislava III, oddiel: Sro, vložka č. 194953/B

2. What data do we process, and why?
Taking the test. Your answers, the age group you selected and the time taken are stored by your own browser (localStorage) so that you can continue the test. No name, email address or user account is needed to take the test. This data only reaches us when you unlock your result.
Unlocking the result and payment. When you unlock your result, your answers are attached to the payment transaction data in a short, encoded form so that the server can calculate the result from it. Payment is handled by Stripe: Stripe collects your card details (which we cannot access) and your email address for the receipt and for managing the subscription. From Stripe we receive the payment status, your email address, your country and a customer ID. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Recognising your subscription. If you subscribe, we set a signed, strictly necessary cookie (elm_sub) in your browser containing your Stripe customer ID, so that the browser recognises the active subscription. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Communication. If you email us, we process your name, email address and message in order to reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest or performance of a contract.
Technical logs. While serving the website, the hosting provider may log technical data (IP address, time, browser type) for a short period for security and troubleshooting purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects concerning you takes place. The calculated IQ estimate is indicative only and is not used as the basis for any decision.
3. Cookies and local storage
We only use cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for the website to work; these do not require consent. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- lang – the selected language (1 year)
- elm_sub – recognising your subscription, for subscribers only (up to 400 days or until deleted)
- localStorage – the state of the test, the questions you have already seen and any result not yet unlocked (in your browser, until you delete it)
4. Who receives the data?
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland) – payment, subscription and invoicing. Stripe may also transfer certain data to the United States; this is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Hosting provider – operation of the website, as a processor.
We do not sell data, and we do not pass it on to third parties for marketing purposes. We only disclose data to authorities where required to do so by law.
5. How long do we keep the data?
- Payment and accounting data: 10 years, as required by Slovak accounting law.
- Subscriber data: for as long as the subscription exists, and thereafter for the accounting retention period.
- Correspondence: up to 3 years after the matter is closed (to enforce claims within the limitation period).
- Technical logs: up to 30 days.
6. Your rights
You may request access to the data we hold about you, and request its rectification or erasure, restriction of its processing, or data portability; you may also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send your request to help@testmyabilities.com; we will reply within one month at the latest.
You can lodge a complaint with the Slovak data protection authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky – Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, www.dataprotection.gov.sk), or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
7. Security and minors
Data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection; the correct answers and the scoring stay on the server, and cookies are protected with a cryptographic signature. Only adults, or users acting with the consent of their legal representative, can pay; we do not knowingly process the data of persons under 16 without parental consent.
We may update this policy when the service changes; the current version is always available on this page.
